BTS Becomes The First To Receive A Triple Million Certification On Gaon
BTS has made Gaon Chart history in a way that no one has before!
According to the Korea Music Content Industry Association, an album that sells over 250,000 copies is certified platinum, while an album that sells over 1 million copies receives a “million” certification. The album certification applies to album sales six weeks after the album’s release.
On June 6, Gaon Chart announced BTS’s Map of the Soul: Persona has become the first album to achieved a triple million certification, since the certification system was implemented in January 2018.
Map of the Soul: Persona sold over 3 million copies in under two months!
