MONSTA X‘s Shownu underwent an emergency operation on his left eye today due to retinal detachment.

We would like to inform you about our artist, MONSTA ‘s Shownu.

Shownu was undergoing an ophthalmic pre-examination for hsi LASIK operation back on July 2, and during the examination, it was discovered that there was a problen with his retina.

As a result of the examination, it was determined that he has a retinal detachment in his left eye, and we urgently proceeded with the surgery to fix it this afternoon, as it was an unavoidable situation.

We will work to put our artist’s health first, and have the artist recover quickly. We will notify you about his future schedules separately, in consideration of the specialist in charge and Shownu’s recovery status.
