How Taeyeon Reacted To Fans Attacking Drag Queens
Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon is a known LGBTQ+ ally.
This was evident when she once spoke up on social media to protect her drag queen friends from netizens.
Taeyeon shared her excitement in a 2013 Instagram post about working with the queens during the music video filming of “Love and Girls”.
Oooops. Ginger’s hand is a cute hand. My hand is a bad hand. Love & girls, love that girls!! I mean…guys. So cool! They were pros.

One of the queens, however, was dragged by netizens for holding up his middle finger. Taeyeon immediately came to his defense.
I asked him to do a ‘bad and wild atmosphere’ pose and that’s what he did. They’re not bad people. They made the music video set really fun. Because of them, we were able to film as we had fun.

Taeyeon has since showed her love for the LGBTQ+ community multiple times throughout the years.
