BTS Sets New Record By Selling The Most Albums In Gaon Chart History
BTS has set a new record!
On January 10, Gaon Chart released the annual album chart for the year 2019.
It was revealed that BTS sold more than 3.71 million copies of the album MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA over the past year. This makes it the best selling album in Gaon Chart history.
In 2017, BTS set a new record with the album Love Yourself: Her by selling over 1.2 million copies in the month of its release. At that time, it was the most number of albums sold in 16 years.
BTS continued to set records with the release of the album MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA. It became the first album to achieve a triple million certification in Gaon Chart, having sold over 3 million copies in under two months.
