TWICE’s Brand New Japanese Album “&TWICE” Is Already Eligible For Gold In Japan

TWICE‘s brand new Japanese album, &TWICE, which dropped on November 20 is already eligible to be certified as Gold in Japan (RIAJ) for selling over 100,000 copies!

The group’s album &TWICE has seen a wild level of success, having come in at first place on the Oricon Daily Album Ranking shortly after its release.

Despite tensions between Korea and Japan, TWICE has managed to only maintain, but exceed their own popularity in both countries. They’re the only foreign group set to attend the Japanese broadcasting company NHK‘s Kouhaku Uta Gassen song festival, and for their third consecutive year, no less!

As for their popularity in Korea, well, CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa revealed earlier this month that everyone in the army wakes up and goes to sleep listening to TWICE songs!

TWICE was recently announced as the first K-Pop girl group in history to surpass 7 MILLION pure album sales on the charts in Korea and Japan.

TWICE’s agency JYP Entertainment will have to follow a procedure to get the group’s new album RIAJ certified, but whether they do or not, it doesn’t make their achievement any less impressive.
