Ji Chang Wook To Make His Comeback With New Genetics-Themed Drama
Ji Chang Wook is set to make his drama comeback with a new genetics themed drama called LUCA (Last Universal Common Ancestor).
LUCA is a new drama being prepared by Kim Hong Sun PD, and Ji Chang Wook is in final discussions for the role.
Ji Chang Wook is trying to show a variety of different images and acting transformations this year. LUCA will be a role for him where he can show off an image of himself he has never seen before.

The story of LUCA is based on Charles Darwin’s claim of all living things have one common ancestor. The story, which incorporates genetics, is a theme that is unfamiliar to Korean dramas. The drama will be written by Chun Sung Il, who wrote Chuno, Fugitive Plan B, The Package, and more. Kim Hong Sun PD directed Voice 1, Black, and The Guest. Ji Chang Wook and Kim Hong Sun have also previously worked together in Warrior Baek Dong Soo.
LUCA is planned to have 12 episodes and is expected to air on tvN. It is planned to be aired in early or mid 2020.
