Big Hit Publishes Grammy Consideration Ad For BTS As Voting Begins
And the Grammy goes to…BTS? ARMYs everywhere are hoping to hear these words at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards in 2020.
Although the Grammys ceremony isn’t happening until January 26 next year, the nominee selection process is well underway. On September 25, the first round of voting began, and it will continue until October 10. Songs and albums released from October 1, 2018 to August 31, 2019 are eligible to be nominated.
BTS attended the 2019 Grammys as presenters, but they could possibly attend next year’s ceremony as nominees. Although any nomination would be an honor, fans and BTS themselves are hoping Map of the Soul: Persona will take home “Album of the Year”.
In Billboard magazine’s 2020 Grammy Preview edition, a full page is dedicated to Map of the Soul: Persona and BTS’s achievements. This Grammy consideration ad, placed by Big Hit Entertainment and COLUMBIA, recommends Map of the Soul: Persona for “Album of the Year”.
Other eligible BTS works include the single “Lights” and RM‘s solo mixtape, mono.
Nominations will be announced on November 20. After that, the final round of voting, to choose winners, begins on December 10, 2019 and ends on January 3, 2020.
Will BTS take home a Grammy next year? We’ll just have to wait and see!
