“Produce 101 Season 2” Contestant Lee Gwanghyun Has Left Starship Entertainment
Lee Gwanghyun, who participated in Produce 101 Season 2, has left Starship Entertainment.
Starship Entertainment confirmed the news on August 6, saying,
After much discussion on musical direction and his future, we have agreed to terminate the contract of Lee Gwanghyun.
Lee Gwanhyun appeared on Produce 101 Season 2 in 2017. In April of 2018, he released a special project album called “LOVE IT LIVE IT” with fellow Starship Entertainment artist Kim Sewoon and AB6IX‘s Im Youngmin and Kim Donghyun. They formed a project group called YDPP and all the members participated in Produce 101 Season 2.
Fans had hoped he would join the line-up of the new Starship Entertainment boy group, but it’s unlikely now that he has left the company.
