Kangnam Preparing To Give Up His Japanese Citizenship And Become A Korean Citizen
Former M.I.B member turned soloist and entertainer Kangnam has confirmed that he will be giving up his Japanese citizenship and become a Korean citizen.
His agency has confirmed that he has been working on the process for almost 1 year now.
Kangnam is currently preparing for the naturalization process. We will submit the related documents later this month.
We have been preparing for the naturalization process since the end of 2018. It will take about 1 year to fully complete the process.

Kangnam was born to a Korean mother and Japanese father, but has held Japanese citizenship since birth. He is currently preparing for the naturalization process, which includes a written test about Korea and an interview screening.
