Kang Daniel And His Lawyer Release Statements Regarding Defamation
The legal representative of Kang Daniel has updated fans on their decision to take action against defamatory comments.
Kang Daniel’s lawyer, Yeom Yong Pyo, released the following statement:
Hello, this is lawyer Yeom Yong Pyo of Yulchon LLC, the legal representative of singer Kang Daniel.
Representing Kang Daniel, we filed criminal complaints today for violations of the “Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection” to the Seoul Metropolitan Police’s Cybercrime Investigation Unit against those who have repeatedly peddled false rumours, insults and derogatory attacks with the aim of slandering Kang Daniel.
Fans and his agency collected lots of evidence of intentional and repetitive malicious comments and false information out of online communities and social media, we plan on taking stern action for severe law violation and we’ll continue to monitor the situation in the future. Thank you.

I am always thankful for the affection and encouragement sent by fans, and I accept tips and advice given with love even more humbly. However, some people with ulterior motives rely on anonymity to repeatedly spread false information and personally attack. I inevitably filed criminal complaint charges due to the judgement that it is not right to allow severe defamation of myself and my fans to continue.
