BTS Earns Double Million And Double Platinum Certifications On Gaon Chart
BTS has received new certifications on Gaon Chart‘s latest list!
Since January 1, 2018 albums that reach 250,000 sales are certified platinum and albums that sell one million copies receive a million certification.
On August 8, Gaon Chart announced that BTS’s Love Yourself: Tear album has become their third album to receive a double-million certification for selling over 2 million copies.
Previously, Love Yourself: Answer and Map of the Soul: Persona received million certifications, and Map of the Soul: Persona also earned BTS a place in history by receiving Gaon Chart’s first-ever triple million certification.
In addition to this, BTS’s BTS WORLD OST has gone double-platinum by selling over 500,000 copies since its June 28 release. For streaming, BTS’s “IDOL” received a platinum certification for surpassing 100 million streams.
