These 5 Idols Got Their Dance Skills Tested With An Insane Mash-Up Challenge
On a recent episode of IQS, five K-Pop idols – BTOB‘s Ilhoon, ASTRO‘s MJ, LOONA‘s Chuu, and Weki Meki‘s Doyeon and Elly – had their dance skills tested out with a crazy-hard choreography mash-up challenge!
The mission was to have the upper body do a different choreography from the lower body. As an example, Ilhoon demonstrated by mashing up SHINee‘s “Ring Ding Dong” and BTOB’s “Beep Beep”. With the lower half of his body doing the iconic “Ring Ding Dong” dance, while his upper half did the “Beep Beep” moves, Ilhoon looked like he had it together for a second…

And with that, the first round began. The mash-up was between Taemin‘s “Move” and Sunmi‘s “Gashina”. The show hosts and guests had it all working for them when the upper and lower bodies were separate…

Here’s Elly’s version of Tae-mi’s “Mov-ina”. It comes with the hand in position, intense grooves, and most importantly killer facial expressions.

And here’s Chuu’s version. No one can tell if Chuu is actually trying to do the dance or is shaking her head side-to-side in denial of what’s happening with the rest of her body.

For the second round, it was the famous Brown Eyed Girls‘ “Abracadbra” dance mashed up with I.O.I‘s “Pick Me” dance!

But then there was MJ and his not-so-smooth effort at combining the upper body moves with the lower body moves. He ended up creating an entirely original choreography on his own.

The final choreography mash-up combined I.O.I’s “Pick Me” and Weki Meki’s “Picky Picky”. While stomping their feet to match I.O.I’s “Pick Me” choreography, the hosts and guests had to do Weki Meki’s “Picky Picky” gestures with their upper bodies.

Elly was expected to pull this one off, as she was familiar with both choreographies, but she just ended up being broken…

Fans were amazed by Doyeon’s incredible multitasking ability – but moreover, they laughed their butts off at Elly, Chuu, MJ, and Ilhoon failing miserably!
