ITZY Becomes The Fastest Group To Win A #1 Music Show Trophy

Just 9 days after their official debut on February 12, 2019, ITZY has just picked up their first ever music show trophy on Mnet’s M! Countdown.

With a score of 8527 compared to Hwasa’s 7882, ITZY edged out Hwasa and “Twit” for their first ever win.

The members were shocked, and full of tears as they thanked their families, JYP staff, and all of their fans. Chaeryeong couldn’t believe they just won #1, while Ryujin kept her face covered, as she was tearing up. Lia also thanked everyone for all of the love the group is receiving, even though they just made their debut.

ITZY has taken the record for fastest group to win #1 on a music show, beating out IZ*ONE’s impressive feat by 1 day. IZ*ONE made their debut on October 29, 2018 and won #1 on M! Countdown with “La Vie En Rose” on November 8, 2018, taking just 10 days.
