BTS Didn’t Win, But They Still Made History At The 2019 Grammy Awards

BTS didn’t take home the award for “Best Recording Package”, but they did reach other historic milestones at the 61st annual Grammy Awards. 

For ARMYs, the highlight of the night was when BTS presented the award for “Best R&B Album” to H.E.R.

As soon as BTS appeared on stage with that award in hand, they achieved two firsts at once. BTS became the first Korean act to ever present a Grammy award, and it was the first award that BTS themselves have ever presented.

“Growing up in South Korea, we always dreamed about being on the Grammys stage,” RM said, before announcing the nominees. “Thank you to all our fans for making this dream come true. We’ll be back.”
