Park Jin Young Allegedly Connected To Religious Cult Linked With Sewol Ferry Tragedy
Dispatch released an in-depth article claiming Park Jin Young is a part of the Salvation Sect, a cult that’s linked with the Sewol Ferry tragedy. The article clarified the meeting Park Jin Young held about religion, what he said, who attended, and what it all means.
Dispatch Claims Park Jin Young Held An Evangelizing Meeting For Salvation Sect
Dispatch revealed photos that showed Park Jin Young holding a meeting on March 21 near Yeoksam, Seoul. They claimed he set up the meeting to help evangelize people for the Salvation Sect. Dispatch staff personally attended the meeting held in Yeoksam to gather evidence and voice recordings to prove Park Jin Young was a part of the Salvation Sect.

What Is Salvation Sect?
The Salvation Sect is reported to be a cult meddled in pyramid selling schemes that had been investigated by the police nuerous times. It reportedly helps members get jobs in connected companies, while donations made by those members are used by the head leader as collateral for loans. It’s known to have 60 branches spread out across South Korea with over 200,000 members around the world.
Kwon Shin Chan is the man who created the doctrine for the Salvation Sect, which was widely spread by his son-in-law, Yoo Byung Eun.
Byun Ki Choon is known to be the current head behind the Salvation Sect business. He is also the former CEO of Cheonhaeji, which holds the largest shares of another company called Chonghaejin Marine Co., Ltd. Chonghaejin Marine Co. is the company that owns the Sewol Ferry, the controversial ship that sank back in 2014 with hundreds of students and passengers on board.
The Salvation Sect has been linked to the Sewol Ferry through Byun Gi Choon and other members. The vessel’s disgraced captain, Lee Joon Seok, is rumored to be a member as well.

How Is JYP’s Meeting Related To Salvation Sect?
Dispatch had been after JYP and the Salvation Sect for the last 2 months and have discovered the links the tie him to the alleged cult.
Park Jin Young’s meeting in Yeoksam took place over 7 days and some of the top names in business, such as Bae Yong Joon, were in attendance. More importantly, Byun Gi Choon was present at the meeting.
That night, Park Jin Young ate dinner at “H restaurant” with the people who were at his gathering. Across from the restaurant was a cafe where they sell “Ahae Tea”. “Ahae” is Yoo Byung Eun’s pen-name. Throughout the gathering JYP received support from this cafe. Finally, the members moved to the basement of a building across from the cafe for the actual meeting.
The owner of the restaurant is Dapanda Co., Ltd. The cafe is owned by Semo Credit Union and the building owned by I-ONE-I Holdings Co., Ltd. All companies that are connected to Byun Ki Choon.

Salvation Sect Is Connected To The Sewol Ferry Tragedy
The Salvation sect has their hands in numerous businesses, and the Sewol Tragedy was partly caused by their inapt management. Dispatch was able to get their hands on the diary of an executive member at Cheonghaejin Marine Co.

The diary entries showed that the 2014 tragedy was not the first time the Sewol Ferry decided to set sail despite dangers. Records showed that Cheonghaejin continued to take on risky trips despite their awareness to the possible dangers.
So why did Cheonghaejin risk these dangers? Dispatch was able to get their hands on the financial records for every boat for 2103.

Sewol made around 8.9 billion won but the records reported that the ship lost 4 billion won. The main source of this loss was chalked up to depreciation cost. Cheonghaejin wrote off over 2.9 billion won which is around 30% of what the ship made as depreciation cost.
A worker at a different shipping company stated “It’s hard for me to understand why they would write off 3 billion won as depreciation cost for a 12 billion won ship. It just appears they tried to make it look like they were losing money on paper.”
After discovering these reports, Dispatch concluded that Cheonghaejin was embezzling money for the Salvation Sect. To farther prove the point, they pointed out that Byun Ki Choon and Yoo Byung Ho were both sentenced to 3 and 2 years imprisonment for embezzling tens of million won while they were CEO of Cheonghaejin. They embezzled the money to support Yoo Byung Eun’s family.
